COSTA MESA
COSTA MESA
From 1971 to 2007, 1620 Adams Avenue in westside Costa Mesa was the headquarters for the Girl Scouts of Orange County. In the fall of 2007, Kline-Butler, LLC purchased the property and leased it to Kline School. They in turn, welcomed students to experience a program rich in science, technology and the arts.
Costa Mesa— just one mile from the Pacific Coast in the heart of Orange County—is one of California’s most eclectic and vibrant cities. The city is home to South Coast Plaza, one of the nation’s largest shopping centers, and the world-class Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Repertory theater. Costa Mesa is also the capitol of the action sports industry and the headquarters for companies such as Hurley International, Volcom, RVCA, Rip Curl, and Vans.
The City's location provides easy access to many major attractions, including beaches, mountain areas, high and low deserts, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Palm Springs and Los Angeles.
May 20, 2016: Last summer, we celebrated 30 years of excellence with long time Kline School supporters, families from the early days up to the present, and then we turned off the school's lights. Since then, I posted our property on LoopNet and spent the last ten months negotiating the sale. Three LOIs and four PSAs later, we found seven to be my lucky number. Yesterday, we handed the 1620 Adams Avenue keys to Hongmei Zhao. Mrs. Zhao plans to bring her kindergarten and preschool program for the first time to the United States. Given her success in China and her commitment to providing the best, she will transform the property and welcome children to experience her brand of learning. We wish her every success. And meanwhile...I am writing Chapter 31.
