FAIRFIELD
FAIRFIELD
Fairfield is a charming, thriving town featuring five miles of shoreline on the Long Island Sound.
It has more than 59,000 residents but maintains a small-town feeling--diverse neighborhoods with their own character and flair, top-notch neighborhood-based schools, and many active civic associations. In July 2006, Money magazine ranked Fairfield the ninth-best place to live in the United States, and the best place to live in the Northeast.
Beaches, marinas, parks, open space, and plenty of shopping and fine dining, all within 50 miles of New York City, make Fairfield a top community in the Northeast.
Fairfield is also home to both Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University, where you can take in a sporting event, a musical, dance or theatrical performance or a lecture.
Browse the galleries, take in a show at the Fairfield Theatre Company or visit one of the growing numbers of restaurants where you'll find everything from casual to fine dining, outdoor cafes to historic taverns with a fireplace.
Winter, spring, summer or the beautiful New England fall, Fairfield is a great place to be.
January 1, 2018: In the mid-to-late sixties, my father, Edwin D. Kline and his brother, William S. Kline, redeveloped some commercial properties, including Station Plaza, in the Town of Fairfield. They received accolades from Town Leaders for revitalizing building in Fairfield's Historic District. In 1977, LANTERN HILL became my father's legacy. LANTERN HILL has been owned and operated by the EDWIN KLINE FAMILY for more than four decades. Today it is managed by second and third generation adult children who continue to offer professional, small businesses, and non-profits affordable office space in the heart of the quintessential New England Town of Fairfield.
