PORTLAND
PORTLAND
IT'S OFFICIAL!
After four short years, my nephew and his wife made the switch from renters to income property owners!
CONGRATULATIONS GRADY AND JANAN!
Just south of Portland on the east side of the Willamette River is the former mill town of Milwaukie.
It was incorporated in 1903 and is now called the "Dogwood City of the West" for the spring blossoms that dot the landscape.
It is the birthplace of the Bing Cherry.
Now a suburb of Portland, this friendly community is known for its easy transit, bicycling and kayaking, great shopping, wine bars and taprooms.
August 14, 2018: With the generous bequest from my late Aunt, I wanted to invest in another income producing property. In mid-2017, I approached my nephew, Grady, and his wife, Janan, to see if they might be interested in "partnering" with me. I asked them to find a duplex or triplex in the Portland area that they would someday like to own. They found it! My husband, Sean Butler, and I pulled together our funds and closed the deal directly with the owner, Stephen DeHart. Now Grady and Janan have a place to call home and Sean and I have someone on site to manage the property that we wholly trust...and we even have a built-in buyer. On June 24, 2022, almost four years later, the duplex changed hands. It's official! Grady and Janan are income property owners and are now positioned to build their wealth.
